Pet Food Assistance

The Humane Society of Blue Ridge is proud to support pets and the people who love them through our monthly pet food distribution program.

We believe no family should have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their pets.

This program helps keep pets in their homes and prevents animals from entering shelters simply because a family is going through a difficult time.

Monthly Distribution Day

Pet food is distributed on the last Friday of every month at the HSBR trailer (next to our Community Dog Park) and begins at 9am.

To help keep everyone safe and the line moving smoothly, this is a drive-through distribution.

Please remain in your car and a volunteer will bring food to you!

Important Information

• Please stay in your vehicle during distribution
• Volunteers will come to your car with pet food
• The shelter building is not open to the public during distribution
• Supplies are limited and provided while they last

This program exists because of the generosity of donors, volunteers and community partners who believe in helping both pets and the people who care for them.

By helping families keep their pets during challenging times, we strengthen our entire community and reduce the number of animals entering local shelters.
